About Our School

Located within the Federal subdivision of Kirkland Lake, Federal Public School offers an English language program for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Six.  Along with our strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, Federal Public School offers a range of programs and services for its children, including a breakfast snack program daily for all children.  We support the findings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and use the Grandfather Teachings as a monthly focus for character education.   Our schedule is balanced into three learning blocks, with a significant nutrition and activity break between each block.  Federal School offers diverse opportunities with our Outdoor Classroom and Makerspace for STEM learning, balanced with a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that places the child first.  We truly embrace the DSB1 priorities of Equity, Culture and Innovation!
